EU Digital COVID Certificate starts to be rolled-out in July
A second summer season is coming amid the pandemic, but this time a big part of the world is getting prepared not to lose everything by blocking traveling. Just as Israel is moving on with its Green Pass and China has its vaccination certificate, the European Commission outlined a proposal on a “digital green certificate”, also known as a “vaccine passport”, to facilitate safe free movement in the EU – the so-called “vaccine passport” or “EU Digital COVID Certificate”. The complete roll-out of the initiative in European countries, however, is still a mystery. However, it is known that the European Parliament has come to a deal and a date: July 1st.
