FAQs about Vueling Airlines
Is Vueling a good airline?
Yes, it is. We have flown with Vueling many times since its beginnings, and despite being a low-cost carrier, it is far superior than Ryanair and EasyJet. Aircrafts are generally new, very clean and staff is polite. Vueling flies to interesting destinations, has very good fares, and lands in the most important airports (not ones hundreds of miles away). Of course there are problems, but the vast majority of airlines have problems. Considering pros and cons, we consider Vueling Airlines a very good choice for short-haul flights in Europe.
Is it safe to fly with Vueling during the pandemic?
Vueling has put in place safety protocols as requested by health authorities, like informing passengers about the current guidelines, making mandatory the checking of hand luggage and the wearing of face masks during all the flight. Vueling airplanes have powerful air filtration systems (HEPA) and are deep cleaned every day. The company informs that current cleaning pays special attention to surfaces like the foldable tables, armrests, toilets, and the crew spaces. The cabins are also disinfected daily with the spraying of virucidal products.
Does Vueling allow dogs?
Yes, Vueling allows small pets, including dogs, except in flights to and from the UK and Ireland. The company allows passengers to have their pet with them in the cabin as long as the pet remains in a carrier during the whole trip. The carrier must be lighter than 8kg (with the pet inside) and smaller than 45x39x21cm. Allowed pets are dogs, cats, turtles, tortoises, birds (except birds of prey) and fish. Vueling charges 40€ in domestic flights and 50€ in international and Canary Islands flights for this service.
The company also allows assistance dogs, however the booking process and requirements are different. This service is free of charge.
Does Vueling charge for food?
Yes, Vueling offers food onboard and charges for it. The menu includes quick bites like sandwiches, snacks, sodas and coffee. It is neither cheap nor overpriced.
