How to get paid to travel the world and eat healthy
Travel contest season is open! After Finland’s government launching the incredible idea of “Rent a Finn”, which we explain in this post, now it´s time for a UK company to come up with another excellent deal. What about getting paid 50,000£ to travel the world while trying local food and delicacies?
Well, right. This is not a “contest” but a job recruitment action. Vibrant Vegan Co. is recruiting a “Director of Taste” to travel the world and discover new foods and flavors to put them in the company’s radar.

Vibrant Vegan is a UK food subscription company that is specialized in “healthy and ludicrously tasty vegan meals” delivered in your home or workplace.
Their new Director of Taste will have the mission of finding and testing new exotic recipes and ingredients with the goal of having them incorporated into their products. So the right profile is someone with an excellent palate, preferably as an experienced chef. It is not mandatory to have a degree in food science.
How will the Director of Taste accomplish the mission?
This role requires traveling up to 4 months across the world to countries such as India, China, Turkey, Chile, Mexico and Japan. It’s fundamental to have availability for traveling out of the UK for long periods of time. All the travel expenses will be covered by the company, of course, besides the annual salary of 50,000£.
But back to the office, the Director of Taste will be expected to work up to 35 hours a week with flexible hours.
The catch?
On the contrary of what you could think, non-vegans can apply and are eligible to the job. However he/she must focus on exclusively plant-based ingredients when working.
